Out of the rut

Hey so i have just busted through my 4 month plateau and i thought that i would post what happened to me as an example for people to look at.
I was having a good week followed by a bad week, so over the whole four months i only lost ONE kg.
But two weeks ago i talked to my leader and realised one of my problems was i was expecting to much of myself.
I was wanting to get up at 6 am to go the the gym 5 days a week!!! when i struggle to get up at 7:30 to go to uni normally.
So getting up at 6 was never going to happen realistically(yes on the odd morning i got up and went but this was only about 1 day a week). Therefore for the rest of the day i would feel like i had failed and not really bother with what i was eating and just eat crap (i'll start again tomorrow).

Well since realising that trying to get up and go to the gym at 6 is not for me. I have now set a goal to go three times a week at times during the day that i can fit it in.
My eating is also back on track and in the last two weeks i have lost 3.3kg

So the moral of this story is to set goals but only ones that you can achieve.

I noticed you blog on another bloggers short list and just checked it all out. Well done on your big loss thats great, and well done on realising what is for you and what isnt! i have never joined the gym and lost over 30kilos now! I think that each to their own, but i look forward to getting in there at some stage for some extra toning, but it wont be in the AM - i can tell you right now! ha!

take care and best of luck for your next weigh in :)
